About Us
Baptist Community Services
Park Place Towers was given birth by the First Baptist Church leadership and ultimately bought by the High Plains Baptist Health Systems, and expanded to what is today known as BCS. The progress made in developing a retirement center of the magnitude of Park Central has been gratifying and rewarding, as has the growth and development of a premier fitness center, the Amarillo Town Club, now having expanded to two locations. As the elderly population grows, BCS intends to be at the forefront of providing new and innovative retirement and long-term care services in an atmosphere of Christian love, compassion and understanding. As health care costs of all kinds continue to increase faster than the growth in income and resources, BCS, through the Amarillo Town Club, also intends to lead the community in its effort to bring the latest in fitness and health maintenance programs to help stem the spiraling costs of maintaining one’s health and quality of life for as long as possible.
Our future will be defined by our ability to envision retirement and health fitness services much like our forebears did for the acute care side of medicine – with alacrity and purpose, confident that by offering excellent services and facilities at reasonable prices, those needing our services and facilities will want us to be their preferred choice of providers.
This overview provides a glimpse back at where we began and the current composition of our company. Its possibilities will be determined by our vision of the future, which will always honor the past while enriching the present. Our leadership teams, from the Board of Trustees to our staff, recognize that our residents and those who use any of our services and facilities deserve the best. Our goal, our reason for being, is to meet, and even exceed those expectations of the residents and families, now and in the future.
